"My prime interest is strong lighting contrasts and texture in my subjects.
I always look for a dynamic composition. The mystery in the many coloured shadows contrasted with a strong light source really excites me ... I like to employ a variety of watercolour techniques to achieve lots of differing textures.
The colour and atmosphere of the location becomes absorbed into my work. I have also been using water
soluble inks with water colour techniques as a quick onsite medium for studies ... the sepias were perfect for
the colours of Tuscany.
I am excited about trying them out in Siem Reap”.
