About The RiverGarden
The RiverGarden Siem Reap was established in 2007 and was originally 2 large traditional Villa style family homes. With abundant natural light and a wonderful spacious apartment like area on the top floor Michel Delacroix, a world renouned french artist, used one of the houses as his painting studio.
This old style khmer villa featured a large outdoor balcony that has become one of our Deluxe Double rooms.
Michel and his family who still live in locally spend time between Siem Reap and the southern
coast of France.
The adjoining villa was build as a family residence and also has a
large upper level, covered balcony area that looks out on the
jungle gardens.
Situated in a local village area the village community and activities that support it surround us including a vibrant and interesting local market and many local businesses and places of interest.
The Siem Reap river fronts the hotel and the road that follows it is the ancient river road used for centuries to get to Angkor Wat and the city Angkor Thom.
The famous Angkor Wat temples are 10 minutes away by Tuk Tuk, the local mode of transport for visitors. |
